To make a toy soldier you are going to start with a round top clothespin. You are going to need to paint the top part of the clothespin red for his shirt. Then you will need to give him pants by painting the bottom part of the clothespin black.To make his arms you are going to take some black felt and fold it in half. Now just cut out a couple of ovals to make arms and then glue them to the sides of the clothespin. Now to decorate the sides of his pants just take some gold cord and measure next to the side and cut it the appropriate length. Then you will just glue them to the sides. Now you can move on to the hat. You are going to start by doing the strap first. Take some more gold cord and just wrap it around the front and glue it there. To make the top part of the hat you are going to take a black pompom and glue it to the top. Hold it there for a little bit to make sure the glue dries. Now to make the very top part of the hat just take a small red pompom and glue it on the top of the black one. To make your toy soldiers face and buttons for his shirt you can just draw them on using a marker. You can also turn this into an ornament by putting a little hook on the back. To do that just take the gold cord and make it into a loop touching the ends together and then just glue it on the back of our toy soldier.
