The Tidal Wave starts with the throw, you swing it out. It's almost a real loop, a tidal wave is almost half a real loop. You are swinging it out and sort of getting the loop motion to practice. To start you need to throw a strong sleeper. Now take the index finger of your non-throw hand and put it under the string, then pull it up then swing the yoyo up out in front of you. You will want your hand to be pretty close to the yoyo. Not this close, just enough so that you can swing it a little bit back and forth because the next you are actually going to swing the yoyo straight up and release it. The first few times you do it you can actually just try swinging then catching it so you can practice the initial motion. Now instead of catching it, you're going to let it swing and then throw it back out. So you are going to bring it up, swing and then throw it back out. This is the most basic way to start your looping tricks. |
