Now you are going to go over the variations on the basic kicks in the previous section, called jump kicks. The first variation is called the jump snap. First you are going to bring your left leg up, jump into the air and kick. This is just like the snap kick from before, but,now you will be leaping into the air. The next kick is called the jump hook kick. Just like the hook kick from before, you are going to turn in the direction that you kick, kicking off to the side in a rounded motion. The jump kick and the jump hook kick can be done at any height. When you are doing your kicks, make sure to bring your knee up high to give yourself good height in your jump. Remember, you should be in the air when your foot makes impact with whatever you are kicking. |
