Once you have your donut ready you will need to start throwing your dome.  You will need to pull in a cone towards the center because the goal is to actually have the clay touching in the middle.  You will want to take your right thumb and go underneath giving yourself a great big undercut.  Then you pinch with your left hand and push in as you pull with your right hand.  It is important to keep the sponge over the edge to compress, keeping the clay centered and compressing it.  Collar and keep the inside moist as you are turning.  You need to keep the inside slick, however you do not want a big puddle there.  Do the same process again switching hands to finish this step and prepare to close the dome.
