A ceramic toad dome has no floor which is excellent because it will hold moisture and give your toad a dark moist and safe place to hide.  You may put your toad home in an aquarium with your pet or in your yard or garden.  You may even glaze your toad home in a variety of colors if you wish.  You will want to start with a chuck of clay weighing 2 1/2 to 3 lbs.  Once you have your clay weighed, you will need to wedge your clay properly for optimum consistency.  You then will move it to your pottery wheel.  Take the time to make it into a very good ball before you put it on the wheel.
