This video is going to go over how to get a red wine stain out of light colored material. One of the best things you can use to get red wine out is OxiClean. One of the main ingredients in OxiClean is a solid form of peroxide and the peroxide in it breaks down the stain. If you do not have OxiClea what you can do is make a combination of just your general household peroxide and dish washing liquid. Supposedly, Dawn is the best kind to use but really you can use any kind. You are going to go ahead and put it on the fabric and let it soak for a little while. With OxiClean you can almost immediately see the stain go away but with this solution you may have to rub the fabric together. After you do this you can run it in a regular wash, the peroxide will start to break down those organic stains. In addition to wine peroxide will break down other organic stains like blood or other protein based stains. Peroxide and a little dish soap will get it right out. |
