Updating an old lampshade is a great way to brighten up a corner, freshen up a room, and lighten up your life. Use your creativity to make a unique addition to your room. You will need a lamp with a non-pleated lampshade, newspaper or craft paper, a pencil, sharp scissors, pins, fabric of your choice, spray adhesive, fabric glue, ribbon or cording. Optional: hot glue gun & craft glue. Place the lampshade on its side and trace the edges by rolling the shade on the craft paper. Cut out the pattern. Pin the pattern to the fabric and cut along the edges. Spray adhesive glue to the fabric and attach to the lampshade. Finish the top and bottom with ribbon or cording and pin in place until dry.
