When you are working from home one thing that can be an effective technique to maximize your time is to designate certain days, as the days that you do certain aspects, of your business. For example, if you designate Tuesday as your day to crunch numbers you already know first thing in the morning that you're going to go through your accounts. Use that day to take care of the business side of your business. Sometimes you can get so in to your work, that you forget that you have to do this maintenance side of your business. Or maybe you have a certain report that you have to file for an employer, you will want to kind of pick a day or a time that you know you're going to do it. This can really help you be more efficient. This way you will not get to the point where you are behind and have a bunch of things that will end up taking a long time to accomplish. Splitting up your day is a really great time management technique, so that you always know that certain times, are designated for certain activities. |
