Before you give your baby a bath, you should lay out all of the supplies you will need after their bath. Supplies you may need will include a nice soft towel, baby lotion, a soft bristle brush, a diaper and pajamas.
After you take your infant out of the bath you should towel dry him. After your infant is completely dry lay him back down on a safe surface. Pour some of the baby lotion in the palm of your hand; rub the lotion between both of your hands to warm it up. Once the lotions is warm, start at your baby’s shoulders and in circular motions rub the lotion all over their body working your way down to their toes. After the lotion has been applied to his entire body, use the soft bristle brush to comb his hair. Even if your baby does not have very much hair you can still comb it to train the hair to lay in a certain way and to teach your baby that brushing his hair daily is part of the routine. Once your baby has been bathed, dried off, lotion applied, hair brushed you can put on his warm pajamas.
Between having all of your supplies readily available and supplying your baby with plenty of hugs and kisses, after bath time should be a breeze! |
