First you need to detach and inspect the bulb for damages. Pull back the carpeted cover then carefully grab the bulb connector and turn counter clockwise to loosen it. Once you have it loosened, pull the bulb straight out. With a clean shop or hand towel, remove the bulb from its connection. You may need to wiggle it a bit to loosen it up. Then inspect the bulb for visible damage.
