Does the idea of peeling potatoes deter you from cooking them as often as you’d like? Try this trick. You will need a knife, a pot of boiling water and ice water. Cut the potato: Make a cut along the potato lengthwise. Try to slice only the skin, not the actual potato. Boil it, put the potato in a pot of boiling water and boil until soft inside. Cool it off: plunge the potato in a bowl of ice water for 10 seconds. The surface of the potato will shrink while the center remains hot. Remove the skin: rub the potato with both hands and watch the skin right off. |
